People who consume large amounts of saturated fats and cholesterol have a high risk for heart attack or stroke. It is recommended for all adults by age 20 to have their blood cholesterol measured and discussed with the doctor. Consuming less saturated fatty acids can lower your cholesterol and help reduce the risk for coronary heart disease.
